Professor Ha Sung-kyu of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hanyang University has developed the world’s first recyclable eco-friendly hydrogen tank technology, drawing attention from the global hydrogen energy industry through successful commercialization and startup launch.

Leveraging over 34 years of expertise in composite materials, Professor Ha founded the university-based startup 3P.COM within Hanyang University’s entrepreneurship-friendly ecosystem. The hydrogen tank, made from advanced composite materials, is lighter and stronger than conventional alternatives while also being fully recyclable—a feature that gives it significant competitive edge in the ESG-focused global market. The technology has already been transferred to companies in Taiwan and India, with royalty agreements securing stable revenue streams over the next ten years.

In addition, the technology attracted major investment from Cathay Biotech, a 건담 토토사이트 leader in bio-based resins listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. With this support, Professor Ha established a joint venture worth KRW 10 billion (approx. USD 7.5 million). 3P.COM's recyclable hydrogen tank technology is also expected to expand into high-tech fields such as hydrogen-powered vehicles, drones, and humanoid robots.
