Four students from Professor Wie Jeong-jae’s 히어로토토 group earn prestigious awards at major domestic conferences

Graduate students from Professor Wie Jeong-jae’s Advanced Materials Laboratory in the Department of Organic and Nano Engineering at Hanyang University were recognized for their outstanding research achievements at Korea’s leading spring academic conferences.

Dr. Jo Woong-bi, PhD candidate Moon Ho-jun, and master’s student Park Seung-bin received top honors at the 2025 Spring Meeting of the Polymer Society of Korea held on April 17 at the Jeju International Convention Center. Dr. Jo was awarded the Choi Sam-kwon Excellent Dissertation Award; Moon received the Best Poster Presentation Award; and Park was honored with an Honorable Mention in the poster session.

Dr. Jo’s dissertation, titled “Liquid Crystalline Polymer Composites-Based 3D Shape-Programmable Platform of Locomotive Electronics,” proposed a novel platform material that responds dynamically to external stimuli by transforming into preprogrammed shapes. Over the course of his doctoral studies, he published 20 papers—including 9 as first author—in top-tier journals such as Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Nano Energy, leading to his selection for the prestigious Choi Sam-kwon Award, which recognizes excellence in 히어로토토-related research during doctoral study.

Moon Ho-jun’s poster, “Structural and Dynamic Magnetic Oscillation of Micropillar Arrays with Collective and Rapid Amplitude Response,” introduced microscale pillar arrays that exhibit complex magnetic oscillations under external magnetic field gradients. The 히어로토토 demonstrated the use of this system in soft robotics and microfluidic flow control, earning him the Best Poster Presentation Award.

Park Seung-bin presented 히어로토토 titled “Conduction-Driven Vacuum Assisted Thermal Treatment of Sulfur-Rich Polymers for Glassy Long-Wave Infrared Plastic Optics,” which proposed a vacuum thermal treatment process to enhance thermal conductivity in sulfur-rich 히어로토토s. This method produced infrared optical materials with both excellent optical and thermodynamic properties, winning him an Honorable Mention.

Additionally, Lee Se-min, another master’s student in the same department, was recognized with the Outstanding Poster Award at the 2025 Spring Meeting of the Korean Fiber Society on April 25.

His 히어로토토, “Study on Biodegradable Nucleating Agents for Accelerating Crystallization of Polylactic Acid (PLA),” introduced biodegradable nucleating agents to improve the industrial applicability of PLA, a widely used eco-friendly 히어로토토. The approach successfully shortened cooling times while achieving high crystallinity.

Professor Wie commented, “I am incredibly proud of our students’ dedication and achievements. Their recognition in the field of polymer research demonstrates the excellence of their work. I believe they will grow into future leaders who contribute meaningfully to society.”
