Kim Seung-wook, a fourth-year student in Hanyang University's Department of 토토사이트 돈 먹튀 and Performing Arts, won the grand prize in the modern 토토사이트 돈 먹튀 category at the 41st KBS Busan 토토사이트 돈 먹튀 Competition. His solo performance, of over four minutes, earned him first place. After the competition, he drew attention for donating part of his prize money to the Busan Cultural Foundation to support cultural and artistic development.

Encouraged by Professor Lee Hae-jun, Kim applied for the KBS Busan 토토사이트 돈 먹튀 Competition. In the final round, he performed his original choreography, From Good Morning To Good Night, inspired by the final line from The Truman Show in which the protagonist says, “Good afternoon, good evening, and good night.” The piece visualized an internal struggle to recall someone precious while imagining saying those parting words. The performance featured an edited version of Antony and the Johnsons’ Kissing No One.

From Hanyang’s classrooms and competitions to the Grand Prize

Kim’s achievement stems from his experiences in various competitions and his education at Hanyang University. He gained public recognition through Stage Fighter from Mnet and won the Gold Prize at the Dong-A Dance Competition, experiences that helped him grow both technically and creatively. Participating in Stage Fighter allowed him to collaborate with other 토토사이트 돈 먹튀rs and refine his skills. Preparing for the Dong-A competition strengthened his ability to structure and direct his works.

His university years also played a key role. Courses taught both the theoretical and practical aspects of movement, such as how specific joints create certain motions or how lighting affects stage presentation. “Hanyang has many great professors and senior dancers who provide detailed feedback,” he said. “Their help made it possible to deliver a stronger performance.” Expressing special gratitude, he added, “Professor Lee Hae-jun has always cared for me and guided me, helping me achieve this great honor.”

Giving back to the community

Kim donated 1 million won from his prize money, saying, “Since it was a large prize, I wanted to share it with others.” Although he first considered donating in Seoul or Gyeonggi Province, where his school and family is living, he chose Busan because it is where the award came from. He also wished to honor the victims of the 'Busan Three Mother and Daughters' tragedy earlier this year.

Deeply passionate about dance and the arts, Kim said, “The dance community is still small in Korea. It's an incredibly fascinating art form, but not yet widely recognized. I hope the dance market continues to grow and expand.” Offering advice to aspiring young dancers, he said, “There are few times in life when you can dance with such passion. Enjoy this moment fully.”

“I want to create the Korean Hofesh Shechter Company”

Kim dreams of founding his own dance company. Referencing the renowned choreographer Hofesh Shechter, he said, “Just as Korean dancers go abroad for auditions now, I want to build a company that foreign dancers travel to Korea to join.” Determined to establish a unique artistic philosophy, he plans to continue gaining diverse experiences and developing his distinctive choreography style. He currently trains daily with the goal of winning first place in an international dance competition and intends to pursue graduate studies to deepen his understanding of dance and art.
