Delivering social messages through artistic experience

On March 8 and 9, Lee ji-hee, adjunct professor of Department of Dance, is presenting present a stage performance addressing the climate crisis at the Arko Arts Theater Grand Hall. Through choreography-based high-quality works, she aims to deliver a powerful social message and foster public empathy.

Professor Lee conceptualized this performance to address one of the most urgent issues of our time—the climate crisis. She seeks to examine the issue from multiple perspectives and engage audiences in contemplating the future of humanity. In addition, she will present ‘Dots,’ which received the ‘Best Work Award’ at the 33rd Korea Contemporary Dance Artists Exhibition in 2019 and was selected for the PAF ‘Best Work of the Year’ award, recognized for both its artistic and popular appeal, as well as ‘Blue Hour,’ which won the ‘Artist of the Year’ award in the 43rd Seoul Dance Festival in 2022. She will also screen the dance film ‘Our Skin,’ produced as part of the ‘Pink Carbon Project,’ selected for the 2023 Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture’s Arts Research Activity Support Program.
