The popularization and internationalization of Korean dance prove that an artistic work can be popular. Professor 엘클라시코 토토사이트 Yeon-soo of the Department of Dance hosted a dance performance titled House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House: 엘클라시코 토토사이트 Out at the Arko Arts Theater at Daehak-ro Street on July 6th and 7th.

The subtitle of House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House is "Inside Out, Others We Meet in Deep Side of Tradition." The subtitle "Inside Out" implies the artistic direction of Professor Seo, a Korean dance choreographer who explores the inside out of tradition and modernity, that is, the border between tradition and modernity. The performance, which expresses the modernization of traditional dance, asks audiences what it means to be Korean and where the line of tradition is. 

House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House: 엘클라시코 토토사이트 Out is a sequel to the work that Professor Seo presented in 2020 after getting inspired by the work of installation artist Suh Do-ho. Seo's work received "Seoul Dance Festival Best Work Award", "Choreographer of 2021", and "Beautiful Perspective Award", and in 2023, it was selected as a beneficiary of Arts Council Korea's International Exchange Support Project.

Suh Do-ho expressed conflicts he had with others while studying abroad, cultural differences, and final adaptation and acceptance by putting Hanok 엘클라시코 토토사이트 the apartment. Apartment and Hanok, which we perceive as a house, represent other and self respectively. Professor Seo substituted these for the complex situations and real problems that traditional dance faces as our culture modernizes in the form of dance.

Professor Seo imagined the border between traditional dance and modern culture from the border between the apartment and Hanok. In the act, the border between 엘클라시코 토토사이트s represents the border between tradition and modern culture as the self and other. Thus, clothes and structures, which represent the border of the 엘클라시코 토토사이트, keep evolving just like the complex relationship between tradition and modern culture in modern society. Through this process, tradition and modern culture meet, collide, accept, and expand.

The show points out the complex relationship between tradition and modern culture, asking us what the border between self and others means. This makes us ponder on "what it means to be Korean." 
Professor Seo revealed, "I expressed the complex identity that our modern culture possesses by using movable structures to make a wall out of a pillar, and a passage out of a wall, thereby, blurring out the inside and outside of the spaces."

Moreover, she said, "The theme is not the only thing based on tradition: choreography is also based on our traditional dance Salpurichum," adding "I advise you to pay attention to this part as the modern reinterpretation upon close analysis of each and every action which allows the contemporary audiences to be absorbed."

Professor 엘클라시코 토토사이트 included over 30 Hanyang students in House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House: 엘클라시코 토토사이트 Out by holding auditions. It is rare for undergraduate students including freshmen to be on stage with Professors.

Right before the show, she encouraged the dancers by saying "Today, you guys on the stage are all stars. Let's show them what you got like a professional." Hanyang students on the stage participated as professional dancers, not as students.

Professor Seo who directed this show said, "The dancing is a comprehensive art." She started arts with drawing and music when she was young. In order for a choreographer to express something on the stage, he or she needs all types of art including lighting, set, and music. Seo, equipped with a comprehensive understanding of arts and her innate modern touch on dancing, said, "The time and space that we have right now: all of these can be art," adding "Modern value of dancing is inspiring and giving vibrance to our life through movements."

With this interest, Professor Seo set off with "Murjer Dance Company," an organization she created in 2016. She presented House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House for the first time at the 41st 엘클라시코 토토사이트ul Dance Festival and received the grand prize in the contest. In 2021, a sequel of House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House as a solo performance at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts was sold out. Since then, she has been seeking arts with her philosophy and mass like "straight line and curve", "Walk, Gaze and Stand", etc.

Apart from House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House: 엘클라시코 토토사이트 Out, Professor Seo still has several performances ahead. She was invited to perform one of her works "Walk, Gaze and Stand" this October at the Mexico Servantino Festival, the most prestigious art festival and one of the top 4 festivals in the world.

In addition, 엘클라시코 토토사이트 will continue international exchange as she has been invited to perform House 엘클라시코 토토사이트 House in Yokohama, Japan this December.
