Hanyang University ERICA(Lee Ki-jeong as president) successfully hosted the entrance ceremonies for the first cohort of the ‘4+0 Dual Degree Program’ with the prestigious Chinese engineering university Harbin Institute of Technology at both its Shenzhen and Weifang Campuses on August 30 and September 4, respectively.

This ‘4+0 Dual Degree Program’ is a formally approved joint undergraduate program by the Chinese Ministry of Education and welcomed its first students in September this year. It operates with an annual intake of 100 students each at the Shenzhen and Weifang campuses.

Through this program, Department of Electrical Engineering at Hanyang University ERICA is linked with Communications Engineering major(通信工程专业) at the Shenzhen Campus, while ERICA’s Department of Materials and Semiconductor Engineering is connected with the Smart Materials and Structures major (智能材料与结构) at the Weifang Campus, facilitating a dual degree curriculum.

The entrance ceremonies were held on August 30 at the Shenzhen Campus and on September 4 at the Weifang Campus. Baek Dong-hyun, Vice President of 토토사이트 구 레드, visited both campuses to deliver congratulatory addresses.

Vice President Baek emphasized, “The 4+0 Program between Hanyang University ERICA and Harbin Institute of Technology is more than the acquisition of two degrees; it is a bridge connecting the educational philosophies and cultures of both universities.” He added, “Hanyang ERICA will spare no academic support and emotional encouragement to help students advance toward their futures together with Harbin Institute of Technology.”

The first cohort consists of outstanding students who ranked within approximately the top 1% in China’s National College Entrance Examination(Gaokao, 高考). Both universities, as leading engineering schools in Asia, plan to continue their joint efforts in nurturing global engineering leaders based on an innovative educational cooperation platform.
