How is 토토사이트 라운더스r school life as a student in theater and film major?

The theater students get to produce a couple of performances through the course, "Performance Production Workshop." People in charge of different parts like acting, directing, planning, stage, lighting, and sound all come together to make a show.

I am in charge of sound design. Seniors who taught me sound all graduated now, so I am the old-timer in the department. Currently, I am also a sound manager. With 토토사이트 라운더스nger students, I am having fun designing sounds for the stage.

I heard 토토사이트 라운더스 have been diligent in school life, even earning the full-ride scholarship. What drives 토토사이트 라운더스?

I am the type of person who has to do everything I want. As soon as I got admitted, I set the goal of "graduating with nothing that I haven't done." The reason why I decided to settle in sound design was also after experiencing lighting, props, and stage directing. "Being the first in the department" was also one of those goals. I thought "I could rank first at least once while in college," while at the same time, thinking "It's gonna be tough," yet I studied hard, and I guess luck followed.

I've been acting since I was 토토사이트 라운더스ng, so I thought acting was the only thing in my life. I couldn't rest well during the period between one work and the next one. Without acting, I was practically a corpse.

Then, after getting into Hanyang University, I got to have diverse experiences and started to find new interests. It was no longer true that "Kim Hwan-hee as a person = Kim Hwan-hee as an actor." Inside human Kim Hwan-hee, reside an actor, the sound, friendship, and more things that I cherish.

I am glad that I came to the Department of Theater and Film at Hanyang University. If not, I still wouldn't have known what kind of person I am, and my mind would have been wandering without getting a proper rest.

Home Sweet Home, in which you starred as a lead 토토사이트 라운더스, was released recently. Please tell us briefly about the plot and the role.

The plot of the movie Home Sweet Home goes like this. The main character, "Udam," the fourth among nine siblings, finally gets her own room for the first time in 17 years when her eldest and second-eldest sisters move out. However, her third brother, Woojoo, ends up impregnating her frenemy, Kyungbin, and Udam is forced to share her room with Kyungbin. It's a cute and heartwarming story about Udam’s efforts to reclaim her space.

I play the role of "Udam" in the story. Udam is a character with a strong personality with hippie-style curly hair, yet she’s also just an ordinary friend you might see in real life. She argues with her family and acts like a child from time to time, but she’s full of love. She acts tough in front of others, but on the inside, she’s the most softhearted and adorable child.

How long did it take to finish the movie? How did 토토사이트 라운더스 feel when it was released?

We filmed this in the middle of the winter in January and February last year. It was such a short shoot that I dearly wished it lasted a bit longer on the final filming day. After editing, we were able to meet the audience for the first time at the 2024 Jeonju International Film Festival earlier this year. Finally, the film was officially released on November 20. Watching it at the press screening with the staff and cast after such a long time was truly touching.

In your view as an actor, what type of personality would best suit "acting?"

I don't think personality is that important. I think of an actor as "someone who expresses people's life for them." If an extroverted person gets into acting, it going to be better if that person expresses the life of an extroverted person. Conversely, the same goes for introverted people. Depending on your personality, there might be different roles that you can best express. However, I don't think there is a such thing as a single personality trait that suits an actor.

However, some traits are good to have. Things good observation or empath. We can't have all lives and personalities, so by "observing" people similar to your role, you can indirectly gain experience.

Sometimes you have to play a character that you can't understand. If so, "empathy" might help you understand the characters that you have to play.

When is the moment you feel satisfied while acting?

I feel satisfied when I feel that "I expressed someone's life well." That's how difficult it is and it's how much I feel responsible for expression. If I poorly express someone's life, people in similar situations may not relate to it or they can get hurt. So, when I rarely feel that "I expressed that emotion very well," I feel very much satisfied.

When I act, people often tell me that I have good "instantaneous concentration." Also, I think I comprehend things well. I think I am more of a fast learner. (laugh)

I still don't know much about acting, but if I dared to speak, the first is "take responsibility" and the second is "don't get cocky."

When you act with a sense of responsibility, you will never make light of acting. Responsibility, in other words, is "giving your best in every role that you take."

At some point in an 토토사이트 라운더스's journey, there comes a moment when one receives a lot of compliments from others. If you think you are good and give up improving, you will stay stagnant forever. However, even if you are complimented, if you work on your weaknesses to grow, I believe that you will end up giving an act that you can be satisfied with. I, too, am diligently working toward that moment.

I haven't since I became an adult. I think I have when I was little. In elementary school, my school used to organize sledding or ski camps every winter. Interestingly, the busiest time of my life was during my elementary school years. (laughs) I never went to a single ski camp during those six years. Around the time I was graduating in sixth grade, I remember thinking, "If I hadn’t been an actor, could I have been closer to my friends?"

Since your debut 16 years ago, you have appeared in productions every year without taking a break. What are your goals as an 토토사이트 라운더스?

I want to meet the audience with diverse works. My dream is to become an 토토사이트 라운더스 with versatile talents. I will work harder so that I can meet them with more work.
