Hanyang University–under the founding philosophy of Love in Deed and Truth–has been nurturing talents who possess virtues like diligence, honesty, humility, and service. In recent days, the university has been working hand in hand with alums abroad to provide students with various programs to strengthen their global competencies via an overseas alum network.
My First Passport
The University ran a program called "My First Passport" from July 29th to August 12th. My First Passport, which marked its third year in 2024, offers Hanyang University students who have never traveled abroad an opportunity to travel across the US and exchange culture. The program is sponsored by alumnus Lee Yong-gi, Chairman of A&E Foundation, who also invited the students and supported by the Hanyang Alumni Association in Southern California (President Heo Jin).
My First Passport is one of the programs Hanyang alumni have made to give back what they have got to society. It aims to share their stories of overcoming hardship and provide an opportunity to experience the wider world.
Four students, who passed an essay and interview test, participated in this year's My First Passport. They have traveled the west coast of the US for 14 days from July 29th to August 12th. Students visited prestigious universities in the US and businesses run by Hanyang alumni and joined an alumni meeting in LA.
Cho Woo-nam (School of Business Administration) said, "I had various experiences through the program, and I expect the connections and memories I've made on the way to help me go through."

Hanyang University hosted the 2024 토토사이트 착오이체 Challenger in Silicon Valley from August 2nd to 9th in San Jose, California. The program aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship of students and help them understand the world's market and its trends.
Four student entrepreneurs selected for the program visited tech giants like Apple, Intel, Marvell, Nvidia, Plug and Play, and D.School at Stanford University. Furthermore, the students attended the Demo Day at the appointment ceremony of the 8th HYU Global Startup Mentors, presenting global startup ideas they had prepared in advance.
HYU Global Startup Mentors consist of alumni who have either found or expanded their business overseas. The program offers special lectures and mentoring to student entrepreneurs while building a sustainable international network. Practitioners and experts in each field attended the business presentation followed by the appointment ceremony, giving practical advice regarding the business models to students.
Participants reported, "We got so much inspiration regarding technologies and markets around the world, and it was especially good that we got to hear practical advice regarding business models through the business presentation with mentors."
Hanyang University plans to continue developing unique programs for 토토사이트 착오이체 competencies and develop practitioners of love across the globe.
