The Hanyang University School of Business Administration(Lim Gyoo-gun as Dean) announced that it held the ‘2025 Hanyang Business Night’ on December 12 at the Seegene Lounge and SKT Hall in the Business Administration Building. During the event, Chairman Eom Tae-eung of Boksan Nice (Class of '77) and CEO Lee Heung-soo of UIB Korea (Class of '83), alumni of School of Business Administration, were selected as the recipients of the ‘16th Hanyang Pride Businessmen Award.’

The 라오스 스포츠토토 Management Award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding management performance and leadership in their respective industries, raising the prestige of Korean business leaders. The award recognizes those who have simultaneously practiced management innovation and social responsibility.

■  Awardees

Chairman Eom Tae-eung is the key figure who transformed ‘Boksan Pharmacy,’ once a local company in Busan, into Boksan Nice Co., Ltd., a comprehensive pharmaceutical distribution company with a nationwide logistics network. Moving away from the conservative practices of the pharmaceutical distribution industry, he led smart logistics innovation by preemptively introducing an SCM(Supply Chain Management) headquarters system and establishing automated logistics center systems.

Under his management philosophy that ‘one falls behind without change,’ he pushed for continuous innovation, eventually reaching 1 trillion KRW in annual sales—a rare achievement in the pharmaceutical distribution industry. In 2020, he was credited with establishing a transparent management system that meets global standards by simultaneously obtaining ISO 9001(Quality Management) and ISO 14001(Environmental Management) international certifications.

Chairman Eom emphasizes the philosophy of ‘無誠無物,’ meaning "nothing can be achieved without sincerity," and consistently engages in social contribution activities, such as supporting welfare facilities for the disabled.

Co-recipient CEO Lee Heung-soo established the Korean branch of UIB, a UK-based global insurance brokerage group, in 2012. He pioneered the domestic corporate insurance brokerage market—which was previously underdeveloped—and grew the company to the top tier of the industry. He secured unrivaled competitiveness in risk management for overseas projects of Korean companies and specialized insurance brokerage.

CEO Lee gained industry attention by advocating for a ‘company without a retirement age’ as a solution for a super-aging society. He implemented an unconventional personnel policy, including re-employment after the age of 60 without wage cuts and removing age limits for new recruits, contributing to the expansion of employment for the elderly and women. In recognition of these efforts, he received the Prime Minister's Commendation in the individual category at the 2025 Job Creation Awards organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor last September.

A Hanyang University official stated, “Chairman Eom Tae-eung and CEO Lee Heung-soo are representative Hanyang business leaders who have not only achieved innovative management results in their respective industrial fields but have also practiced social responsibility and the values of mutual growth.” The official added, “We expect that the achievements and philosophies of these two alumni will serve as a meaningful milestone for junior business leaders.”
