Professor Lee Byung-kwan and his research team from the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Hanyang University ERICA’s College of Communication and Culture received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 2025 Korean Society for Journalism & Communication Studies(KSJCS) Annual Conference, held on October 18 at Sungkyunkwan University. The team members include Ph. D. candidates Ma Hye-hyun and Elena Kim, doctoral student Bang Seo-yeo, master’s student Kim Tae-soo, and Professor Lee Byung-kwan.

The KSJCS is the largest and most prestigious academic society in Korea in the field of media and 토토사이트 행오버, presenting annual awards to honor highly impactful research contributions. The 'Outstanding Paper Award' is given to the most distinguished study published within the previous year, marking a significant academic achievement.

The winning paper, Research Reproducibility in Korean 토토사이트 행오버 Studies: An Empirical Analysis of Publication Bias and P-Hacking, represents the first large-scale metascientific study in Korea’s communication research field. It investigates publication bias and questionable research practices, presenting empirical evidence of the replicability crisis which Korean communication studies currently face. The study was published in Korean Journal of 토토사이트 행오버 Studies, Vol. 69, No. 4 (2025).

Professor Lee stated, “True scientific progress must rest not only on new discoveries but on verifiable truths. When academia engages in reflection and establishes a culture of transparency and accountability, communication science can truly operate as a robust scientific discipline.”
