On June 2, a donation ceremony for the Department of Dance was held at the Office of the Vice President for External Relations and Development at Hanyang University’s Seoul Campus.
In attendance were Choi Joong-seop, Vice President for External Relations and Development; Professor Seo Yeon-su of the Department of Dance; Lee Jae-young (4th year, Department of Dance); Lee Hyun-seok (1st-year master’s student, Department of Dance); and Koo Se-eun (3rd year, Department of Dance).
The donation was initiated by the three students—Lee Jae-young, Lee Hyun-seok, and Koo Se-eun—who expressed their wish to contribute their prize money after winning awards in the Korean Dance category of the 55th Dong-A Dance Competition. Lee Jae-young received the Gold Prize and the prestigious Kim Baek-bong Award, while Lee Hyun-seok and Koo Se-eun each earned Bronze Prizes.
Professor Seo remarked, “Last year, Lee Jae-young stood here after donating her prize money, and I believe the encouragement she received from Vice President Choi at the time helped inspire today’s meaningful act as well.”
Vice President Choi responded, “Congratulations on receiving such distinguished awards. We are truly grateful that you chose to donate your hard-earned prize money to the university.”
The students donated a total of KRW 3 million, which will be used to improve the educational environment for Korean 토토사이트 자유게시판 majors at Hanyang University.
