Professor Ahn Hee-kyung of Hanyang University’s School of Business Administration was inaugurated as the 28th president of the Korean Consumer Association on June 1. She will serve a one-year term until the end of May 2026, alongside Professor Yoo Hyun-jung of Chungbuk National University’s Department of Consumer Studies, with whom she shares a co-presidency.

Professor Ahn earned her B.A. in Literature and M.B.A. from Sogang University and later received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Toronto in Canada. Over the course of her career, she has actively contributed to academia in the fields of marketing and 토토사이트 마루한 studies, serving as editor-in-chief of Journal of 토토사이트 마루한 Studies, vice president of the Korean Advertising Society, and executive board member of the Korean Marketing Association.

At Hanyang University, Professor Ahn teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including 토토사이트 마루한 Behavior, 토토사이트 마루한 Decision Making, and Strategic ESG Communication. Her research explores the cognitive and behavioral foundations of 토토사이트 마루한 choices and judgments, with findings published in leading academic journals at home and abroad.

Regarding her new role, Professor Ahn stated, “During my term as president, I hope to promote interdisciplinary approaches in consumer studies, foster emerging scholars, and encourage research that meaningfully contributes to the coexistence of consumers and businesses.” She added, “I also aim to strengthen the association’s role in shaping consumer-centric policies and real-world applications.”

Founded in 1989, the Korean Consumer Association is one of Korea’s leading academic societies in the field of consumer research, with a membership of approximately 2,700 scholars and practitioners. It promotes the accumulation and dissemination of consumer-related knowledge through both theoretical and applied, interdisciplinary research, while also contributing to public interest and consumer welfare by addressing social and policy issues involving consumers and businesses.

As the first integrated academic society in Korea encompassing marketing, 토토사이트 마루한 psychology, and 토토사이트 마루한 studies, the association publishes Journal of 토토사이트 마루한 Studies, an academic journal registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea, six times annually to support scholarly exchange and disseminate research findings.
