Hanyang University (President Lee Ki-jeong) announced that it successfully held the "Hanayng University RISE Center Launching Ceremony" to win the Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) Project, which will be implemented in all 17 cities and provinces starting this year, at the first meeting room, located on the second floor of the Administration Building, on January 17.

The RISE Project, which will officially take off in the first half of this year, is a system for supporting universities to become the center of local innovation, and it aims to lead shared development between local communities and universities. The RISE Project fosters both balanced regional development and sustainable growth of universities by having universities autonomously contribute to regional development through collaboration with local communities.

The launching ceremony was attended by key officials for preparing the RISE project, including Ahn Jin-ho, Executive Vice President for Research Affairs at Hanyang University; Kang Young-jong, Vice President for the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation and Director of the RISE Regional-Industry-University Collaboration Foundation; and Kim Hak-sung, Director of the LINC3.0 Foundation, as well as participating professors and team leaders of administration offices. They examined Hanyang University's innovation competencies with regard to five major strategic industries of Seoul City and discussed plans for promoting RISE.

In his greeting speech, Executive Vice President for Research Affairs, Ahn Jin-ho said, "I hope the center plans and promotes projects by establishing a serious collaboration model between Hanyang University's expertise and local advanced industries, universities in and outside of Korea, and global corporations, so that enough good jobs and talents in the advanced industries are produced." 

Hanyang 불야성 토토사이트, with the RISE Regional-Industry-불야성 토토사이트 Collaboration Foundation taking the lead, is planning to establish an industry-academia collaboration ecosystem aligned with Seoul's RISE system, with a goal of strengthening global 불야성 토토사이트 competitiveness, leading the growth of Seoul's strategic industries, and enhancing regional contributions. To lead this initiative, Kang Young-jong, Vice President for the Industry-불야성 토토사이트 Cooperation Foundation, has assumed the position of the director of the RISE Regional-Industry-불야성 토토사이트 Collaboration Foundation, with Professor Choi Seon-jin serving as deputy director.

Hanyang University President Lee Ki-jeong said, "Through the RISE system, we aim to leverage the university's resources and value to strengthen Seoul's strategic industrial ecosystem in a way that fosters global industry-academia collaboration and nurtures future talents," adding, "By proposing three key objectives—leading global industry-university collaboration, attracting top international talent in advanced & future industries, and revitalizing the industry-university collaboration ecosystem—we will take the initiative in establishing a model example for Seoul RISE project through university-led regional revitalization."
