Since declaring the year 2003 as the "Year of Internalization," Hanyang University has been working hard to conduct various overseas exchange programs, to attract international students, and to create a global research and educational environment. In particular, in 2004, it became the first Korean university to establish the Hanyang University China Center in Shanghai, China. Hanyang University China Center attracts outstanding international students by conducting local admission tests in China and by offering customized local curriculum for nurturing global talents.

Kim Dal-ho, Director of Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 China Center, is taking various measures to keep Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토's status in China high and attract outstanding talents. We met Director Kim to talk more about the vision and accomplishments of nurturing global leaders.

Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 China Center was established in Shanghai, China, with the audacious vision of executing the 가상 스포츠토토's global strategy in the global arena. The center, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, mainly aims to attract outstanding talents and nurture global leaders. Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 China Center, which recruited 5,000 students this year, sets a superior status within China, with only one in three or four applicants making entry every year.

The center's education program aims to nurture Korea-China experts who will lead the shared growth of both Korea and China. The most notable programs include: "International Summer/Winter School," "Internship Program," for conducting a project with Korean companies based in China, and "Startup Internship Program," which supports startups and entry into China by students and organizations affiliated with Hanyang University. The International Winter/Summer School is the first local program in China by Korean University.

Director Kim explained, "We are giving out various projects to students to offer them hands-on experience with Chinese culture and to set the foundation for academic growth.

"The first overseas corporation," "The first international summer/winter school," "The first admission exam for international students," "The first International Students Alumni Association," "The first global industry-university collaboration project"

Hanyang University China Center, with many titles of being the first, nurtures outstanding students. Regarding the student selection process in China, Director Kim said, "In terms of quantity, we already accept only one in four students, so we want to put more focus on qualitative growth," adding, "We are planning to recruit students within top 10% of Chinese SAT." On top of these, since last year, Hanyang University China Center has been executing global strategies by expanding internship, career, and startup programs for international students returning to China upon graduating from Hanyang University.

On October 12, Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 hosted the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 China Center, along with an inaugural meeting of the Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 International Student Alumni Association (Huabei) in Beijing, China. The event saw 80 Chinese international student alumni from Hanyang 가상 스포츠토토 residing in the Huabei (华北) region, including Beijing, Hebei Province, Shanxi Province, Tianjin, and Inner Mongolia, as well as 4 Korean alumni residing in China.

Chinese International Student Alumni Association promotes the mutual growth of alumni in each region. The Alumni Association consists of regular members (those with diplomas conferred by Hanyang University) and semi-members (language training or visiting students). Director Kim explained the reason for establishing the alumni association: "Human network from the Alumni Association becomes an important asset for the university as well," adding, "It is useful in expanding, managing, and utilizing alumni."

Director Kim said, "We aim to keep the high status of Hanyang University as the prestigious Korean University and leave a lasting impression of Hanyang University to Chinese." Hanyang University China Center plans to continuously support Hanyang students so that they can build various international experiences through a global leadership nurturing program and act as a cultural liaison between Korea and China. He stressed, "The center does more than simply attract students: it has a comprehensive support system that covers internships, careers, and startups."

Lastly, he continued, "Thanks to the support from many of you, Hanyang University China Center could last for 20 years," adding, "We ask you for continued support and love in the coming days as well." 

We ask Hanyang students to look forward to Hanyang University China Center, which will become the center of the global human network, under the leadership of Director Kim Dal-ho.
