Enhancing ESG performance through digital dynamic capabilities in hospitality and tourism: the role of corporate digital responsibility

Professor Park’s paper was published in the SSCI journal International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (IF=9.0 as of 2024), a top journal in hospitality and tourism.

The study analyzed 257 hotel corporations across 42 countries, demonstrating how digital dynamic capabilities(DDC) strengthen corporate digital responsibility(CDR) and, in turn, impact ESG performance. The findings show that meaningful ESG improvement occurs when technical competencies, ethical obligations, and social value awareness are advanced together. The research highlights the importance of ‘digital responsibility’ for sustainable management and reveals key links between digital transformation and ESG strategy, offering valuable academic and practical implications.

◆ Spin-orbit coupling in van der Waals materials for optical vortex generation

Professor Jung’s paper appeared in Light: Science & Applications (IF=23.4 as of 2024), one of the most prestigious journals worldwide(in top 2-3%, ranking 4th in optical science by IF and 3rd by JCI among 125 journals.

The 토토사이트 동화 코드 presented methods for generating optical vortex beams using van der Waals(vdW) materials without nanostructure fabrication. Combining hexagonal boron nitride(hBN) and molybdenum disulfide(MoS₂) enabled stable and efficient vortex beam formation, establishing foundational technology for next-generation quantum optics and optical communication devices.

◆ MUTE-Seq: An Ultrasensitive Method for Detecting Low-Frequency Mutations in cfDNA With Engineered Advanced-Fidelity FnCas9

Professor Hur’s research was published in the 'SCI-E' journal Advanced Materials (IF=26.8 as of 2024), a top-ranked multidisciplinary publication in chemistry, physics, and materials science from Impact Factor. As of 2024, the journal ranks 6th among journals in multidisciplinary chemistry, 5th out of 185 journals in physical chemistry, and 3rd among 241 journals in its field according to the Journal Citation Indicator(JCI).

The team designed a new high-precision CRISPR genetic scissors to sensitively detect ultra-rare DNA mutations in circulating cell-free DNA(cfDNA) in the blood. This innovation is expected to drive advances in early disease diagnosis and precision medicine, especially in cancer.

Next, Professors Kim Ji-hoon (Department of Electronic Engineering) and Choi Dong-ho (College of Medicine, Department of Surgery) were named ‘Researchers of the Month’ for their achievements in the R&D category of September 2025 selection. Each professor has contributed to Hanyang University’s research competitiveness, respectively—through a global education and research program for nurturing AI semiconductor talent and advanced research on liver, biliary tract, and intestinal diseases using multi-organ organoid platforms. ◆ Global capacity building program for AI semiconductors

Professor Kim was selected for the global AI semiconductor capacity building program, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Promotion. Under this initiative, an educational curriculum will be established at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), dispatching master's and doctoral students for hands-on training with the aim to cultivate advanced field-ready talent.

Each year, approximately 30 students will undergo educational, industrial, and 토토사이트 동화 코드 experiences in AI semiconductor systems and design. This five-year program, running from 2025 to 2030, is backed by about 11 billion KRW in funding, providing tuition and living expenses for dispatched students.

◆ [Boston Korea] Development of a human multi-organ organoid platform to elucidate cellular diversity and inter-organ interactions in liver, biliary tract, and intestine diseases

Professor Choi’s research was selected for support by the Boston Korea joint research program. The project aims to develop a human multi-organ organoid platform for investigating cellular diversity and cross-organ interactions in hepatic, biliary, and intestinal diseases.

The team is working to fabricate organoids that emulate key organs—such as the liver, biliary tract, small intestine, and pancreas—and to establish a multi-organ organoid system for analyzing their interactions. With support from Seoul National University Hospital, this research is expected to facilitate studies on disease mechanisms and aid in developing new therapeutics for liver, biliary, and intestinal ailments.
