Hanyang University Global Social Innovation Foundation(Shin Hyun-sang as Director) announced that it held the ‘Kazakhstan-Korea Future Talent Exchange Camp — Multicultural High School Student Global Internship [WE:LINK]’ from January 8 to 14. The event was held in collaboration with the Gyeonggido Office of Education, inviting youth from Kazakhstan and those with immigrant backgrounds living in Korea.

This camp was designed as an extension of the ongoing youth exchange between Gyeonggido and Kazakhstan. The program was held at the Hanyang University ERICA campus, centered on a Korean-style integrated(STEAM) education model that combines AI, robot making, and digital content making. A total of 16 students—8 from Kazakhstan and 8 multicultural high school students from Korea—participated in the exchange.

Under the guidance of Hanyang University ERICA student mentors and professional instructors, participants carried out various team projects. To enhance the educational impact, the main programs included: ‘AI and Robotics Practice,’ ‘Music, Video, and 3D Content Creation,’ ‘Korean Culture Experiences,’ ‘University Major and Career Exploration,’ ‘Multicultural Special Lectures,’ ‘Participation in the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education-Central Asia Education Cooperation Forum,’ and ‘Industrial Site Visits.’

An official from the Global Social Innovation Foundation stated, "This camp served as a practical educational venue where youth could experience the digital and global competencies required for future society while concretizing their career paths. It will serve as an opportunity for Hanyang University ERICA to establish itself as a hub campus leading global multicultural education and community engagement."
