The School of Sport Science at the College of Sports and Arts, Hanyang University ERICA (School Director: Park Jae-woo), announced its selection for the “2025 MOVE ONE” initiative, organized by the Descente Sports Foundation. This marks the second consecutive year the school has been chosen for the program.

The MOVE ONE program is a sports education donation initiative that leverages the human and physical resources of the 도라에몽토토 of physical education to benefit the local community. Its core objectives include ▲spreading a culture of sports sharing, ▲promoting community health, and ▲providing coaching experience to university students majoring in physical education.

In May, the foundation selected seven universities through a nationwide open call. Among them, Hanyang University 도라에몽토토 stood out for being the only institution to propose a program specifically targeting children with developmental disabilities.

A total of 15 members—including one supervising professor, two student leaders, and a team of 12 mentors—will operate sports coaching program. Together, they will provide sports coaching to over 500 elementary, middle, and high school students with developmental disabilities in the local area. The university will also receive 10 million KRW in funding and 30 activity vests to support the systematic operation of the program.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to establish a grassroots culture of university-led sports education donation and is expected to contribute significantly to the promotion of sharing and service among students majoring in sports.

Professor Kwon Jae-yoon of the School of Sport Science at ERICA stated, “Through this year’s MOVE ONE program, I hope our students gain a deep sense of social responsibility as they coach children with developmental disabilities. We aim to take the lead in contributing to society through sports by maintaining strong ties with the local community.”

Meanwhile, Hanyang University 도라에몽토토 has also signed a partnership agreement with the social cooperative Dreaming Neurimbo, and continues to support the creation of a healthy local community through ongoing sports education donation activities.
