Professor Lee Ja-yeon of the Department of Media & Communication at Hanyang University has been appointed as a new member of the Article Review Committee of the Internet 솜사탕토토paper Ethics Committee (Chairperson Lee Jae-jin). Her term will begin on July 1, 2025, and last for one year.

The Internet 솜사탕토토paper Ethics Committee is the only self-regulatory body in Korea that oversees articles, advertisements, and other content published by online 솜사탕토토papers. Since its establishment in 2012, it has continuously worked to strengthen social responsibility and improve the quality of content within internet journalism.

As a member of the Article Review Committee, Professor Lee will carry out independent and professional review tasks based on the Internet 솜사탕토토paper Code of Ethics, Advertising Ethics Code, and review regulations. She is expected to contribute to creating a sound online media environment and protecting user rights.

Professor Lee earned her bachelor’s degree in law from Korea University, her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and her PhD in communication from The Ohio State University. She previously worked as a reporter for the Chosun Ilbo and served as an assistant professor at Lehigh University and an associate professor at Gachon University. She continues to actively engage in research in areas such as persuasion and strategic communication, social media, media psychology, and journalism.
