Kim's affection for mathematics began in high school. “I had fun explaining math problems to my friends. So, I entered the Department of Mathematics Education, dreaming of becoming a math teacher.” Professor Kim said, "After entering college, I became curious of mathematics, rathrer than mathematics education. That made me a decision to go to graduate school." She added, "I have fallen into the charm of cryptography that can solve practical problems among various research fields. I have been focusing on research in related fields so far."

Expressing information with a list of characters that cannot be read by humans is called "encryption," and converting encrypted data into a human-readable form is called "decryption." "Homomorphic encryption" is a cryptographic technique that enables the calculation of arithmetic operations or polynomial calculations of original data without decryption in an encrypted state. Professor Kim developed the "Cheon-Kim-Kim-Kim-Song (CCKS) scheme," the world's first homomorphic cipher that supports efficient real-time computation in 2017. This research paper has been cited a total of 837 times so far, which is being proposed as an international standard ISO by global companies such as Microsoft Research and Intel.

The security technology recently developed by Professor 토토사이트 토실장's research team is a cloud-based security algorithm that can infer basic daily movements or behaviors such as falling actions while body characteristic information is encrypted. The iDASH Privacy Competition (hereinafter referred to as the competition) is a competition on the development of security technologies that can analyze various genomes while protecting the privacy of genomic data. Professor Kim participated in the competition from 2015 to 2018, winning the world's leading research institutes such as IBM, MIT, and Stanford University, and won several championships. She has been the organizer of the competition since 2019 in recognition of her international technology. Professor Kim said, "The competition finds hot topics related to genome analysis every year and provides problems that expand and design it with homomorphic encryption-based technology," adding, "As the organizer of the competition, we are evaluating the results based on the perspective of encryption."

Professor Kim is active on the global stage in the field of homomorphic cryptography and machine learning research. She said, "We expect that using homomorphic encryption will enable us to safely use big data analysis and artificial intelligence, which are key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, without information leakage. So far, we have been conducting research to solve pre-existing problems mathematically not only by the theoretical design of homozygous encryption but by also grafting with various fields." 

Finally, Professor Kim gave support and advice to Hanyang people who want to grow into researchers. "Don't be afraid to challenge yourself in a variety of fields, but try to find what you really like and develop an attitude to explore!"
