The School of Interdisciplinary Industrial Studies became independent from the College of Engineering in 2016. Since then, it has designed and operated education crossing boundaries between various disciplines tailored to the characteristics of working professionals. With this elevation, the School of Interdisciplinary Industrial Studies establishes itself as a core school within the College of Technology and Innovation. Kim decided to take on the challenge after consulting with Professor Yang Jae-yong in the Career Development course. She succeeded through her experience in national tax administration, strategic study methods, and consistency.

As such, the School of Interdisciplinary Industrial Studies provides an environment where professionals can develop their studies and careers simultaneously.
