Establishing an AI talent development hub through collaborative university-industry efforts
Hanyang University has been designated as an operating institution for the ‘2025 AI-Related Industry Human Resource Cultivation Bootcamp’ initiative from the Ministry of Education. This program provides short-term, intensive training courses jointly offered by universities and corporate partners to undergraduate students. It has demonstrated significant progress in sectors including semiconductors, secondary batteries, displays, biotechnology, and aerospace. In the current fiscal year, the government allocated additional supplementary funds to support AI-related bootcamp programs. Among 32 applicant universities, three were selected which includes Hanyang University.
As a result of this selection, Hanyang University will receive approximately 1.425 billion KRW annually for five years, totaling 7.1 billion KRW in educational support. The fund will be utilized to recruit full-time faculty members and expand training infrastructure with practical lab facilities.
