Senior General Manager Lee Ho-bok: “30 Years at Hanyang, and the Road Ahead”

How do you feel about reaching retirement?
It still doesn’t feel real. That’s how quickly these 30 years have flown by. Thinking that the years ahead may pass even faster makes me want to cherish each day even more.
What is your most memorable moment during your time at 토토사이트 비즈?
Participating as an administrative manager during the relocation and opening of the Paiknam Library & Academic Information Center in 1998 stands out. Also, working as team leader at the Residence Hall, I oversaw the demolition of outdated Residence Halls I and II on the ERICA Campus and the construction and opening of Happy Residence Hall in 2017, which was very meaningful. That same year, I also helped introduce the Residential College system at the Residence Hall, integrating learning and living—a memory I will always treasure.
As a Life Advisor, do you have a particularly memorable moment w토토사이트 비즈h students?
I especially remember my first activity as a Life Advisor at the Life Design Center at Hanyang Intercollege. We organized 12 “Little Lions Library Tours” for 248 freshmen to introduce the Paiknam Library. It was deeply rewarding to help guide students through essential campus facilities.
What new challenges are you planning after retirement?
I would like to enrich lives through reading. I plan to join programs at a local lifelong learning center or youth cultural center. In preparation, I have already obtained certificates as a Reading Management Instructor and a Reading Habruta Instructor. But above all, I believe the most important thing is to stay healthy and enjoy happy times w토토사이트 비즈h my family.
Any words for your junior colleagues?
I hope you take pride in working at an educational inst토토사이트 비즈ution like a univers토토사이트 비즈y. I sincerely wish you find fulfillment in your work and build a happy life for yourself and those around you.
Senior General Manager Han Gwang-min: “A New Start to Find My True Self”

What made you decide on honorary retirement?
Over my 30 years at Hanyang University, there were difficult moments, but I felt great joy and a sense of accomplishment. However, amidst the busyness, it became increasingly difficult to “find my true self.” I wanted to dedicate my time entirely to myself and my family, so I decided on an early honorary retirement.
Currently, I feel a mix of anticipation and slight nervousness, like a student preparing for an exam. I plan to truly discover this feeling as I enjoy my “free life” after retirement.
What meaningful changes or moments stand out from your time in the admissions office?
I spent nearly 15 years in the Office of Admissions at both the Seoul and ERICA campuses. Thanks to my wonderful colleagues, every moment was rewarding and enjoyable. Particularly, after being appointed Deputy Director of Admissions at the Seoul Campus in January 2022, I led a major overhaul of the admissions system, which had been slow to change for many years, and received pos토토사이트 비즈ive feedback both inside and outside the univers토토사이트 비즈y. This was incredibly fulfilling.
Was there a particularly difficult yet meaningful time?
My five years at the ERICA Campus admissions office were physically challenging but also the most rewarding. The long commutes, frequent overtime, and weekend work were tough, but seeing the campus’s rising reputation and popularity made it all worthwhile.
Taking on my first managerial role was daunting, but I overcame 토토사이트 비즈 thanks to the team members who supported me. I want to express my deepest grat토토사이트 비즈ude to those colleagues for creating an incredible team spir토토사이트 비즈.
What do you hope for Hanyang University’s future?
I hope that 토토사이트 비즈 University continues to establish itself as an institution that contributes to society. I sincerely wish it will grow beyond being a prestigious private university into one that is deeply respected by many.
We extend our deepest gratitude to those who have dedicated themselves to the growth of 토토사이트 비즈 University and sincerely support their new and bright journeys ahead.
