Hanyang University’s Global Social Innovation Foundation (Director Shin Hyun-sang) announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center on May 20 to collaborate on promoting youth-centered social innovation and revitalizing the social economy.

Through this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in a variety of areas, including: ▲ joint solutions to 토토사이트 메인 디자인 and environmental issues in Gyeonggi Province; ▲ operation of 토토사이트 메인 디자인 innovation education programs targeting youth; ▲ co-hosting of events related to the 토토사이트 메인 디자인 economy; and ▲ development of community-driven, problem-solving projects.

The MOU particularly emphasizes the implementation of a Collective Impact model that integrates cooperation among civil society, government, industry, academia, and research institutes. The ultimate goal is to build a robust ecosystem for regional innovation in Gyeonggi and to achieve tangible outcomes. To this end, the two parties plan to establish a working-level consultation group to further develop joint initiatives.

Director Shin Hyun-sang stated, “This agreement marks a meaningful first step in transforming region-based efforts in social innovation and the social economy into real value,” adding, “It will serve as an exemplary model in which academic expertise and public-sector implementation capabilities generate synergy.”

Deputy Director Park Joon-kyu added, “Through this agreement, the ERICA Campus of Hanyang University will be well-positioned to promote local engagement that creates social capital around the SDGs and intercultural cooperation in the southwestern region of Gyeonggi Province.”

Joo Yi-kyu, acting director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center, said, “This partnership is an excellent starting point for university-community collaboration in social innovation,” and added, “We will do our utmost to ensure that the Gyeonggi model of the social economy and social innovation, led by youth participation, can spread nationwide.”

Hanyang University’s Global Social Innovation Foundation was established in 2023 as a presidential-level organization. It serves as an integrated platform for education, research, and practice aimed at generating social value and building a sustainable future. As the only Ashoka U Changemaker Campus in Asia, Hanyang University actively participates in global social innovation networks such as the Talloires Network and the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN). Since 2018, it has collaborated with Stanford University to publish the Korean edition of the Stanford 토토사이트 메인 디자인 Innovation Review (SSIR), contributing to the development of both the domestic and international impact ecosystem.
