On the 17th, a donation ceremony was held at the president’s office on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building at Hanyang University’s Seoul Campus. The event was attended by Seong Dae-gyu, head of the Dongyang-ABL Life Insurance Acquisition Task Force at Woori Financial Group, President Lee Ki-jeong, and Dean Park Cheol-sung of the College of Economics and Finance.

President Lee Ki-jeong expressed his gratitude in his welcome speech, saying, “I am deeply thankful for the generous contribution from our Economics alumni. Together with the Dean of the College of Economics and Finance, we will make sure to use this donation effectively to lay the foundation for the growth of the college.”

In response, Seong Dae-gyu remarked, “Although it’s not a large sum, I am grateful that it is valued so highly. Considering the grace I received from the university, I still have much to repay. While this amount may be small for now, I will work to ensure that it grows into a larger amount over time.”

After the event, the Hall of Fame ceremony for Seong Dae-gyu was held on the first floor of the Administration Building. Seong Dae-gyu was inducted into the “Bronze Honor Club” after his cumulative donations reached 50 million KRW.
